Compensation
Professor Chen has a sliding scale of fees for different types of speaking engagements depending on the nature of the audience.
Solo/Primary Speaker (Keynotes/Plenaries/Speeches, Workshops, etc.): $5,000 – $15,000
Panelist: $2,000 – $3,000
This range of fees takes into consideration the variation in resources available to different organizations and groups, bearing in mind that grassroots and community organizations have a more limited ability to compensate speakers compared to corporations, industry groups, and professional associations. In offering a fee within those ranges, he would encourage your organization to consider the resources you have available relative to this spectrum.
Note: Professor Chen is willing to consider a lower rate if the event is virtual (Zoom, etc.) rather than in-person, but no lower than the bottom end of the fee scale.
